Phone Consult

Medicare has approved existing patients of our Clinic the opportunity to have a Phone Consultation with our doctors. The appointment will be Bulk Billed with no cost to you.

 

To be eligible to have a Bulk Billed Phone Consultation you will need to meet certain criteria setout by Medicare.

 

To Book an Appointment and to confirm you are eligible to have that appointment Bulk Billed you will need to make an appointment with the Clinic by phoning 3283-6000 to get your appointment time. You will need to confirm details of your current Medicare Card.

When your appointment is made our Doctor will phone you at the number you have listed with our surgery. 

Video Consult

Due to COVID-19 we are able to offer to our existing patients the ability to have a video consultation with our doctors, where appropriate, and to have that appointment Bulk Billed to Medicare with no fee to you.

To be eligible for a bulk billed video consultation certain guidelines need to be met.

 

Please phone the surgery on 3283-6000 to see if you qualify for bulk billing and to make a video consultation booking.

 

When the receptionist sets  your appointment time with our Doctor, they will phone you at the number you have listed with our surgery.  

LATEST telehealth GUIDELINES

Medicare on Telehealth as of the 23rd March 2020

From 23rd March 2020 the Government will allow all vulnerable general practitioners and other vulnerable health professionals who are currently authorised to use telehealth item numbers, to use telehealth for all consultations with all their patients. 

What does this mean to you, our patient?

Your doctor may meet this criteria and if so, patients who currently visit these doctors, will only be provided a telehealth appointment either by phone/video whichever the doctor deems medically appropriate. In the interests of the health of our doctors during this pandemic, and to ensure their health is not compromised, these appointments will be bulk-billed  and your doctor will ring you at your booking time. When booking your appointment if you wish to attend the surgery for an examination or tests and don't want a telehealth appointment you will be able to request an appointment with another of our doctors practicing from the clinic consult rooms.  Your patient records are available to all doctors in our clinic to ensure continuity of care.
